Metropolitan Sewer Subdistrict, dba MetroConnects, will be performing sewer maintenance and making repairs to the sanitary sewer system located along Poinsett Highway.

Work began on Sunday, September 11, 2022, near the campus of Furman University and is expected to continue each evening, Sunday through Wednesday, from 7 p.m. until 5 a.m., to minimize the impact on traffic in the area.

The project will take about three weeks to complete. Crews will continue to move down Poinsett Highway, finishing their work at the intersection of Rutherford Road.

Signage will be in place to help motorists move safely in and around the area. Drivers are encouraged to be alert, be patient, and to slow down while in the work zone.
