Policies And Procedures - MetroConnects

MetroConnects Policy and Procedures

Metropolitan Sewer Subdistrict Pump Station Policy

Metropolitan Sewer Subdistrict, dba MetroConnects, adopted a new Pump Station Policy in October 2019.

The new policy sets forth the procedures, design requirements, material requirements, and construction requirements of MetroConnects for the design, installation, and construction of wastewater pump stations and force mains. This policy also provides guidance to the design engineer and contractor in the development of new pump stations and force mains to protect and promote the health, safety, and welfare of the general public as it relates to wastewater collection and transmission.

Restricted Access Policy

The Metropolitan Sewer Subdistrict Commission, dba MetroConnects or Metro, has adopted a new policy regarding ownership and operations of sewer collection services in restricted areas.

Commission members signed a restricted access policy during its June 18, 2018 meeting, which allows MetroConnects a framework for resolving service and maintenance problems created by limited access to a restricted area.

Sanitary Sewer Standards and Procedures

The following requirements establish the standards and procedures that apply to the design, construction, and connection to sanitary sewer collection systems located within the boundaries of the Metropolitan Sewer Subdistrict (Metro) or systems to be incorporated into Metro’s collection system. Additional requirements may be required on a case-by-case basis when special conditions are presented.
